THE APPROACH
Implant treatment begins with understanding the whole clinical picture — the missing tooth or teeth, bone and gum health, neighbouring teeth, bite, function and long-term restorative needs. My approach is to plan implant treatment conservatively and comprehensively, using digital imaging and restorative planning to determine whether implant treatment is appropriate and how best to achieve a stable, functional and natural result. Where possible, treatment is designed to preserve healthy neighbouring teeth and maintain the surrounding tissues.

Evaluate bone, gum health, neighbouring teeth, bite and the overall restorative situation.
02 PLAN
Use appropriate imaging and digital planning to determine implant position and the intended final restoration before treatment begins.
03 RESTORE
Replace the missing tooth in a way that prioritises function, stability and long-term tissue health.

Dental implants are not suitable for every patient or every missing tooth. Bone volume, gum health, medical history, smoking, bite, oral hygiene and alternative treatment options all need to be considered before treatment is recommended.
THE PROCESS
01 — CONSULTATION & ASSESSMENT
Your concerns, dental health, missing teeth, gum health, bite and treatment goals are assessed. Alternative replacement options are also discussed where appropriate.
02 — IMAGING & PLANNING
Appropriate radiographic imaging, including 3D CBCT where clinically indicated, can be used alongside digital restorative planning to assess bone and determine the proposed implant position.
03 — IMPLANT TREATMENT
The implant is placed according to the planned position and allowed to integrate with the surrounding bone. Treatment timing varies depending on the clinical situation.
04 — RESTORATION & MAINTENANCE
Once appropriate healing has occurred, the implant is restored with the planned tooth or teeth. Long-term professional maintenance and excellent oral hygiene remain essential.
